The concerts are held at 6:00 PM each night (US East Coast Time), and broadcast live around the world on the Internet at the time of the performance, as well as archived for viewing at anytime in the future.

A series of accordion concerts will be held at the Millennium Stage at the famed Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, during the 2007 CIA Coupe Mondiale World Accordion Championships. The 'Performing Arts for Everyone' on the Millennium Stage program is designed to introduce the Kennedy Center, and make music available from a variety of artists from around the world to all, by providing a performance open to the public and free of charge 365 days a year.

Judges Meeting
All members of the International Jury panel met this morning to be briefed on their duties and the rules for the various categories of competition to be judges.

Fifteen contestants from many countries around the world competed in Round 1 of the 60th Coupe Mondiale. Each contestant was required to play the Test Piece "Fantasy, Op. 67" by Dr. Karen Fremar. In addition each candidate was required to perform an own choice program consisting of two pieces, one piece to be of a slower, lyrical style and the other piece to be of a technical virtuosic style.

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

Even Competition for Virtuoso Entertainment Music and Concert
The concert opened with a lively performance by the Puerto Rico Accordion Orchestra conducted by Esther Eugenia Bertieaux. The orchestra received a standing ovation for their performance.
 
The concert continued with the candidates from the International Competition for Entertainment Music performing Round 1 of their program.

The concert concluded with a spectaular performance by the Beijing Children's Palace - Baidi Accordion Orchestra under the direction of Chen Weilang. The orchestra received a standing ovation after every piece!
