                    is no limit of numbers of candidates from each country.
 
                  - Candidates 
                    up to 32 years of age are allowed to enter the competition - year 
                    of birth, born 1990 or later. 
 
                  - All 
                    entrants are required to provide proof of age and nationality (Passport) 
                    when they register at the Coupe Mondiale.
 
                  - This category 
                    is for ONE (1) performer only.

                  - All programs will be checked by the national CIA voting or premier voting member and are subject to approval by the CIA Music Committee.
 
                  - The candidate is responsible for their competition program and obeying the rules.
 
                  - A contestant photo should be sent along with the entry.  Please see this informational page about the requested format for the picture.
 
                  - Each round must be played in one sitting.
 
                  - Competitors must present themselves as artists to an audience; presentation, dress and stagecraft all being important.

                      INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION 
                        FOR ACCORDION SOLOISTS (75th COUPE MONDIALE) 2022.  
                        
                          - There will be three 
                            (3) rounds.
 
                          - Only three (3) pieces can be performed in Round 1.
 
                          - The candidate must play a Baroque piece in Round 1. 
 
                          - Each candidate must include a polyphonic (contrapuntal) work in Round III of the program.
 
                          - No more than one (1) piece from a composer in each round.

                          The candidate must perform three pieces: 
                            
                              - One Baroque work.
 
                              - Two (2) pieces of contrasting character and style
 
                               
                             
                            Notifications: 
                              Minimum one original work for accordion must be included. One of the pieces can be a single movement from a cyclic work. Each piece must be from a different composer.  
                                
                              Playing time for Round 1: maximum 20 minutes.

                            | Round  2 - Complete Original Cyclic Work

                                - The candidate must perform a complete Original Cyclic work for the accordion.

                                | Round  3 - Own Choice Program
             | 
                                  
                                    - A program consisting of three (3) or more pieces of different style and character.
 
                                    - A Polyphonic (contrapuntal) work must be included in this round.
 
                                    - At least one piece must be an original work for the accordion.
 
                                    - Playing time: a suggested minimum 20 minutes to maximum 30 minutes.

                                          - Cash Prizes
 
                                          - All 
                                            candidates will receive a Diploma of Participation.
 
                                          - National member associations are requested to offer concerts or a tour for the 1st Prize Winners.
 
                                          - All 
                                            winners must be present in person at the Awards Ceremony in appropriate 
                                            attire suitable for press coverage and publicity appearances. In case 
                                            of absence, the prize may be accepted by a delegate of their country 
                                            or the Diplomas will be mailed by the Secretariat.
