Masters Coupe Mondiale (day 1)

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR ACCORDION SOLOISTS (MASTERS COUPE MONDIALE).
 
The candidate must perform a program of three or more pieces including:

  • One Baroque work.
  • Two (2) pieces of contrasting character and style.
  • One (1) of these pieces must be an original work for accordion.
  • Complete cyclic works or a selection of movements can be played.
  • Playing time: suggested minimum of 15 minutes to maximum 20 minutes

Nikola Peković (1991) made his first contact with the accordion at the age of 5. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts in Niš in the class of prof. Mr. Miljan Bjeletić. He received the highest honors from the University of Niš as the best student of basic and master academic studies. He completed his specialist studies in Spain (2016) at the Academy of Music in the class of prof. Alberdi Ignacio. He is currently a final year doctoral student in Portugal at the University of Évora.
 
He attended master classes with prominent artists such as Geir Draugsvoll, Mika Vairinen, Mie Miki, Juri Shishkin and Matti Rantanen.
 
He gave solo concerts throughout Europe, as well as in North America and Asia. He had solo performances with orchestras: Camerata Novi Sad, Gudači Sv. Đorđa, Zrenjanin Philharmonic, KGO Schlesinger, Niš Symphony Orchestra.
 
As an artist with wide stylistic interests, he performs together with his sister Bojana in the global TV competition Ja imam talentat (2012) and wins. Three years later, the record company PGP/RTS released their joint CD Nebesko je uvek i doveka. This achievement is preceded by Nikola's solo audio release (CD) with classical music on accordion, published by the Faculty of Arts in Niš in 2014.
 
During his career so far, he won first and second places, as a soloist and chamber musician, at over 50 prestigious accordion competitions in the country and abroad: World Trophy (2018 Canada; 2016 Portugal; 2013 Russia; 2010 Spain; 2009 Portugal), World Cup (2013 Canada), International Meeting of Accordionists in Pula, Croatia (2010); International competition in Castelfidardo, Italy (2009); International competition in Klingenthal, Germany (2006).
He teaches accordion at the Faculty of Arts in Niš as an associate professor.

The name of the Ukrainian artist Vladimir Murza is well known both in the circles of professional musicians and in the circles of music lovers, for numerous performances in prestigious concert halls of Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Canada, Lithuania, Serbia and other countries of the former Yugoslavia, Spain, Bulgaria and others and also on television.
Vladimir Murza works as a professor at the Academy of Music A.V. Nezhdanova in Odessa.
 
He is the winner of many national and international competitions. He is a participant in numerous international festivals and seminars. He was a member of the jury at international competitions many times.
 
The repertoire of this excellent artist includes compositions of different styles and eras, from baroque to contemporary music and jazz, such as works by Scarlatti, Mozart, Bach, Franco, Reger, Strauss, Belošicki, Vlasov, Semyonov, Holminov, Chernikov, Galiano and many others.
 
His performing talent combined with pedagogical gift attracts young artists all over the world to continue their musical education in his class.
 
Of the 35 graduates of Vladimir Murza, twelve are laureates of international competitions, who are currently working in Ukraine and abroad.
