Junior Coupe Mondiale

- There
is no limit of numbers of candidates from each country.
- Candidates
up to 18 years of age are allowed to enter the competition - year
of birth: born 2005 or later.
- All entrants
are required to provide proof of age and nationality (Passport) when
they register at the Coupe Mondiale.
- This category
is for ONE (1) performer only.

- All programs will be checked by the national CIA voting or premier voting member and are subject to approval by the CIA Music Committee.
- The candidate is responsible for their competition program and obeying the rules.
- A contestant photo should be sent along with the entry. Please see this informational page about the requested format for the picture.
- Each round must be played in one sitting.
- Competitors must present themselves as artists to an audience; presentation, dress and stagecraft all being important.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
FOR ACCORDION SOLOISTS (JUNIOR COUPE MONDIALE).
- There will be two
(2) rounds.
- Only three (3) pieces can be performed in Round 1.
- The candidate must play a Baroque piece in Round 1.
- A minimum of two (2) pieces to be performed in the second round.

Round 1
|
The candidate must perform three pieces:
- One Baroque work.
- Two (2) pieces of contrasting character and style
Notifications:
Minimum one original work for accordion must be included. One of the pieces can be a single movement from a cyclic work. Each piece must be from a different composer.
Playing time for Round 1: maximum 15 minutes.

Round 2
|
The candidate must perform:
- Minimum of two (2) pieces must be played of which one must be an original work for accordion.
- Complete cyclic works or a selection of movements can be played.
- Playing time: maximum of 15 minutes.

- Cash Prizes
- All
candidates will receive a Diploma of Participation.
- National member associations are requested to offer concerts or a tour for the 1st Prize Winners.
- All
winners must be present in person at the Awards Ceremony in appropriate
attire suitable for press coverage and publicity appearances. In case
of absence, the prize may be accepted by a delegate of their country
or the Diplomas will be mailed by the Secretariat.
