78th Coupe Mondiale to be held in East Sarajevo, Rep. of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina

 On behalf of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) we welcome you to the 78th Coupe Mondiale and the 154th CIA International General Assembly of Delegates Congress in East Sarajevo, Rep. of Srpska, Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The event will be hosted by the CIA member East Sarajevo Academy of Music Ues from 23 - 28th September, 2025.
The CIA Coupe Mondiale is an INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR ACCORDIONISTS held under the auspices of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) founded in 1935 in Paris, France. The Confédération
Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) is a member of the International Music Council (IMC), an NGO official partner of UNESCO.
The festival will feature competitions as follows:
- 78th Coupe Mondiale
- Masters Coupe Mondiale
- Junior Coupe Mondiale
- International Competition for Virtuoso Entertainment Music
- Junior International Competition for Virtuoso Entertainment Music
- International Competition for Ensemble Music - Classical Music
- International Competition for Ensemble Music - World Music
The competitions and concerts will take place in East Sarajevo Academy of Music Ues in the stunning state of the art Concert Hall and Chamber Hall as well as at the beautiful National Theatre.

The Academy of Music at the University of East Sarajevo began operating in the 1994/1995 academic year in the municipality of Ilidža. Since 1996, its premises have been located in East Sarajevo. The first Dean of the Academy was academician Vojin Komadina. Thanks to his and his associates’ selfless efforts, teaching was made possible even under difficult wartime conditions, laying the foundation for the Academy’s development into a respected institution both domestically and internationally.
The Academy offers study programs including Performance (vocal and instrumental studies with eight study fields including solo singing, piano, accordion, violin, viola, cello, flute and guitar and Music Pedagogy and Theoretical Studies with three study fields including general music pedagogy, compositionvand Church music and chanting.
A member of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) the Academy also holds membership in the Association for the Nurture of Academic Music New Sound (European Music Council-UNESCO). In addition, cooperation agreements have been signed with institutions such as: Gnesins Russian Academy of Music (Moscow, Russia), Belgorod State University of Arts and Culture (Belgorod, Russia), The Chopin University of Music (Warsaw, Poland) as well as a multilateral agreement with music academies in Sarajevo, Belgrade, Split, Ljubljana, Novi Sad, Skopje, Osijek, Cetinje, Banja Luka, and Zagreb.
These agreements have enabled student and faculty exchanges, as well as collaborations with distinguished composers and lecturers. Numerous concerts featuring prominent artists from Russia and Ukraine have also been held as part of these partnerships.-Through its work, the Academy continues to foster excellence in music education, performance, and research, maintaining its position as a pillar of cultural and artistic development in the region and beyond. The Academy looks forward to welcoming Delegates, International Jury members, competitors and guests from around the world during the 78th Coupe Mondiale from 23 - 28th September, 2025.
