78th Coupe Mondiale

In Round 1 of the 78th Coupe Mondiale, the candidate must perform three pieces:

  • One Baroque work.
  • Two (2) pieces of contrasting character and style

Notifications:
Minimum one original work for accordion must be included. One of the pieces can be a single movement from a cyclic work. Multiple movemens are not allowed. A selection of variations is also considered one piece. Each piece must be from a different composer.
 
Playing time for Round 1: maximum 20 minutes.

Junior Coupe Mondiale, Round 1

In Round 1 of the Junior Coupe Mondiale, the candidate must perform three pieces:

  • One Baroque work.

Junior International Competition for Virtuoso Entertainment Music

The candidate must play a program as follows:
  • Own choice program consisting of at least two (2) pieces of different styles and moods.
  • One (1) of these pieces must be a transcription (arrangement) of a work that is not written for accordion.
  • Playing time: maximum 12 minutes.

International Competition for Ensemble Music - World Music

The Candidates in the World Music category must perform:
  • Own Choice Program of concert music consisting of at least two (2) pieces with contrasting character.
  • It can include any popular, folk, rock, jazz, Latino or any other genre of traditional or modern entertainment music. Performance must be in an Entertainment style. Using classical music material and themes, arranged and performed in entertainment style are allowed.
  • One (1) of these pieces must be a transcription (arrangement) of a work that is not originally written for accordion.
  • Marking will take into consideration program choice, level of playing and ensemble work.
  • Playing time: maximum 20 minutes.
