Members of the 126th General Assembly
Mirco Patarini, organizer of the 2012 Coupe Mondiale gave an extensive preview of the upcoming 65th Coupe Mondiale to be held in Spoleto from 21- 25 August, 2012.

Members of the 126th General Assembly

Reports from Member nations were presented from New Zealand, the USA AAA and ATG, The United Kingdom, Bosnia and Herzegovinia and Lithuania. The President adjourned the meeting, with the final Agenda items including the ratification of results to be taken at the closing General Assembly later in the week.
The Opening Ceremony of the 64th Coupe Mondiale drew a sold out audience at the Star Stage Theatre. Two days prior to the Opening Ceremony, the confirmation that the Mayor of Shanghai would attend, created a frenzy of activities as the media descended on the event. The Mayor, also an accordionist was attending as a VIP audience member. Prior to the concert, he spent some time with CIA Officials and other distinghuised guests.

The Opening Ceremony Concert was a spectacular success, highlighting the accordion in many different genres, full of visual appeal and graphic arts. The premiere of the new concerto for accordion, two Shengs and Symphony featured a graphic sand artist who created many different scenes on the giant screen displays behind the orchestra. Renowned accordionist Richard Galliano performed a magnificent duo for accordion and Sheng, while the 70 piece Baidi Children's Palace Accordion Orchestra from Beijing closed the concert. Below are pictures from the Opening Ceremony Concert.
